Activities in the Flathead Valley
The best way to discover the valley
Flathead Valley and its surroundings offer all sorts of activities. From cherry-picking to tree skiing in deep powder, there’s something for everyone! A lot of the valley’s activities happen outside and will allow you to discover the region’s amazing ecosystems.
Explore Glacier National Park, and learn how to lead a dog sled or go ice skating. These activities will help you create your best memories and fall further in love with the incredible Flathead Valley.

Spring & Summer
Enjoy the sun by going for a swim in Flathead Lake or in Whitefish. Hop on a tube and float down Flathead River or the North Fork. Go hiking in Glacier National Park and search for mountain goats and big-horned sheep while enjoying the beautiful scenery. Spend an afternoon cherry-picking or huckleberry-hunting with your family.
Fall & Winter
Even as the sun starts setting early and the temperatures start dropping. Go apple-picking or take your kids to the closest pumpkin patch, find the best squash and get lost in the corn maze. Take advantage of the lower amount of tourists between the high seasons to take a road trip in Glacier National Park. Go skiing in one of the valley’s ski resorts or ice skating in town!
